You say, "Goodbye" and I say, "Hello, hello, hello"

In this post, I should talk about Project-Base Learning, I am sure. However, and as usual now, here on my blog, I am not going to talk about it. This is the last entry on my blog, so I would like to talk about my overall impression of the master and this subject, or rather, I want to talk about me in relation to them, once again, about my reflections.

When Michael, our teacher, asked us to create a blog on WIX, I was very sceptical and lazy about it, and I thought: ‘’Why?'', ''What’s the point?’’. Laziness did not disappear, that I have to admit, but I ended up enjoying the time writing the things that crossed my mind here and designing my blog. I discovered myself, every week starting with this subject's homework, because it was the one I wanted to do the most; despite the lack of constant inspiration, it has been the subject that has motivated me the most.

This has been a space in which we have been able to write, and express what we think, something sometimes not very common in the educational field. Normally, we just do what we are told in very closed contexts of response. However, with this type of activity, students are provided with freedom to create and express themselves, so thank you for the opportunity to check the benefits of portfolios, the use of digital tools in education, and personal reflection time based on class contents. I think it is something I will try in my classes, I still do not know how, or how often, but it will definitely be something I use. I have seen its benefits in the first person, and I have seen how students may get involved and be more motivated by using these kind of resources. I may be a bit of a geek, but many times I have accessed my blog just to look at it, and despite not being a wonder, I like it, one can feel proud of their work.

In addition, I think it has been meaningful, as it has revolved around us, our thoughts, tastes and ideas, always related to the subject matter, Education. It has dealt with real content, knowing about other teachers' real experiences, which I found very inspiring. We have had projects, tasks, but always with freedom, our teacher has just been out guide. It seems to me that this way of teaching is really, if not innovative, significant and helpful. At least, much more than just writing a fake email to a nonexistent friend in Canada telling him about the new house you did not buy.

To conclude, I must say that this subject, together with Aprendizaje y Desarrollo de la Personalidad, are the two that I have enjoyed the most, and the two subjects in which I have learned the most; even it has been a little time-consuming. Anyway, even if I will not remember all of the contents we have studied for sure (which has not really been much tbh), I have learned a lot, and my mindset (now that I know that word I cannot stop using it :)) has changed, as a student and as a future teacher. So, I think I would not be exaggerating if I say that, in my opinion, this is one of the few subjects of the master that are really useful, because learning about the history of language methods and about laws is fine, but you have to put into practice what you learned, make the student participate and get involved, make it memorable, be honest and coherent… Not always more contents, assignments, requirements and pressure equal higher learning, and for that and everything else, thank you.
